| Game Summary |
| At times tonight, it seemed like LeBron James was facing all five of the New Jersey Nets by himself. At one point in the second quarter, he did, literally. He drove into the lane, was surrounded by all five New Jersey players, and calmly proceeded to rise above them all and hit a short jumper. That play really sums up the whole game, as in the end, LeBron was just a little better. The Nets had the lead for most of the two and a half quarters, but when they sat all five starters late in the third quarter to give them a quick breather, the Cavs saw an opening and took it. They punished the Nets' second five, and jumped out to an eight-point lead that they wouldn't lose for the rest of the game. New Jersey's starters came back in the 4th quarter with a fury, tying the game twice, but they could never take the lead again and in the end they just ran out of gas. |
