| Game Summary |
| What a finish! The game itself was actually pretty stale, and boring, but the last quarter of this one was worth the price of admission. After jumping out to a lead early in the second quarter, the Nets had it on cruise control, controlling the game with a 7-8 point lead pretty much all night. But Phoenix caught them being lazy in the fourth quarter, and in the blink the an eye, the lead was gone, and Phoenix was back in front. Lawrence Frank took a timeout, and laid into his team for seemingly blowing another one. But they woke up just in time, getting key stops down the stretch to tie the game back up. Phoenix had the ball in the closing seconds, with a chance to when, but when they missed a jumped, Elton Brand grabbed the board with 8.3 seconds left, and beat Amare Stoudemire in a foot race that went the full length of the court, finishing with an emphatic slam dunk with 1 second to go to win the game! |
